Organizational behavior is a field of study that investigates the pact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within organizations for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organization’s effectiveness. One common thread runs through the functions, roles, skills, and activities approaches to management: Each recognizes the paramount importance of managing people. Regardless of whether it’s called “the leading function,” “interpersonal roles,”“human skills,” or “human resource management, communication, and networking activities,” it’s clear that managers need to develop their people skills if they’re going to be effective and successful. The objectives of the course result from the importance stated above. As far as the organizational behavior is concerned, both the theoretical and the practical sides will be analyzed with care, so that the goal of raising capable and qualified managers will be reached.
