課程概述 |
在媒體資訊大量且快速傳播的今天,充斥不少與生物學相關的報導,顯示這些知識與我們的生活息息相關。然而,這些知識可能被過度或錯誤解讀而誤導大眾,導致錯誤的生物知識傳遞。本課程將使用大量與生物學知識相關的媒體報導案例為題材,幫助學生透過已知的基礎生物學知識去判斷這些報導的正確性與真實性。而主要的內涵有,包括讓學生1)對生物學與我們生活上的關係有基本了解。2)在閱讀各種報導時能夠進行批判性的思考。3)學習如何透過網路搜尋到正確的資訊。 In today's world of massive and rapid dissemination of information in the media, there are a lot of reports related to biology that show the relevance of this knowledge to our lives. However, that knowledge may be over- or misinterpreted to the public, and lead to incorrect dissemination of biological knowledge. This course will cite many news reports with biological knowledge from different types of media, in order to help students to judge correctness and reality of these news reports by applying for known biology knowledge. The purposes of this course are to 1) provide students with a basic understanding of the relationship between biology and human welfare 2) enable students to have critical thinking skills when reading different types of news reports 3) enable students to learn how to search for correct information on the Internet. |
授課內容 |
本課程教師收集各類生物相關的媒體報導案例為題材,並在課堂上發放作業單,學生依據上課內容整理筆記與思考課程內容,幫助學生透過基礎生物學知識去判斷這些報導的正確性與真實性。本課程採用分組討論與口頭報告的方式,請學生搜尋有探討價值的新聞,針對有瑕疵或錯誤的新聞報導做一系列完整的探討。 |
