課程概述 |
本課程內容旨在深入淺出地介紹遺傳工程的基本知識、基本操作方法、及其發展,進而介紹遺傳工程在現代生物技術之發展過程中,所擔負的角色及其影響。本課程除了基本知識的傳授之外,課程中介紹基因工程及蛋白質工程如何應用人工智慧(AI)進行基因產物的改造,有關報章及雜誌的相關報導也將隨時納入討論。 This course is designed to be an introduction to genetic engineering in the field of biotechnological sciences. Students who take this course will learn basic concepts and fundamental techniques that are important in genetic engineering and learn also the application of these techniques to the investigation of modern biotechnology emphasizing fundamental processes of life. In addition to imparting basic knowledge, this course also introduces how genetic engineering and protein engineering apply artificial intelligence (AI) to improve gene products. Relevant reports from relevant newspapers and magazines will also be included in the discussion at any time. |
授課內容 |
本課程內容首先介紹遺傳工程的基本知識,從遺傳物質DNA、RNA到突變及基因表現等基礎知識以明顯易懂的方式帶領學生建立遺傳學的及分子生物學的基本概念。接著以簡易的卡通圖將基因選殖的操作方法及其應用進行解釋說明,以瞭解遺傳工程中基因是如何操作的、生活中的基因改造農產品是如何產生的,進而介紹遺傳工程在現代生物技術之發展過程中,所擔負的角色及其影響。本課程除了基本知識的傳授之外,生活中相關於遺傳工程的報導也將隨時納入課程討論,用以增加學生對於此生物科技的瞭解與興趣。 |
