課程概述

本入門課程旨在協助學生熟悉新聞採訪寫作以及使用諸如ChatGPT等AI工具使新聞報導工作變得更容易的過程。雖然ChatGPT已被證明是強大的工具，廣泛運用在各個領域上，但關於它破壞專業倫理的疑慮也隨之而起。因此，本課程希望幫助學生瞭解如何有效地使用AI收集資料與寫作，同時在處理與AI生成式文本有關的議題時能堅守住道德的底線。

    學生在本課程中將學習發展新聞報導技巧，並透過一系列的活動，包括蒐集資料、尋找適當受訪者以及草擬一篇報導，實際親身體驗如何使用AI工具。他們將練習如何對AI做出適當的提示，以便從AI處取得所想要的答覆，以及基於所獲得的回饋與評估，修正並重新做出更適當的提示詞。他們也將學習自我編輯的技巧，包括換句話說、做摘要與引用資料。至本學期結束時，學生將對新聞報導技巧有全面性的理解，同時也掌握AI工具的知識，進而使他們得以用有效率的方式與符合專業倫理道德的態度去製作／生成出新聞報導。

    This introductory course aims to develop students’ proficiency in news interviewing & reporting and using AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to facilitate their reporting process. While ChatGPT has proven to be a powerful tool with a broad range of applications in various domains, concerns about compromising professional ethics have emerged as well. Therefore, this course hopes to help students understand how to use AI collecting data and writing tools effectively while maintaining ethical limits in tackling issues of AI-generated texts.

    In this course, students will learn to develop their news reporting skills and gain practical experience using AI assistance tools through a range of hands-on activities, including collecting data, looking for suitable interviewees, and drafting a news report. They will practice in crafting prompts that elicit the desired responses from AI, as well as in refining and optimizing their prompts based on feedback and evaluation. They will also obtain training in self-editing skills, including paraphrasing, summarizing, and citation. By the end of the course, students will have acquired a comprehensive set of news reporting skills and knowledge of AI tools, which will enable them to generate news reports in an effective and ethical manner.
