內容

課程概述

氣象經濟學就是探討以天氣過程或氣候變化的信息作為基礎，產出提供氣象服務及其衍生性產品的規劃、交換、消費等行為。本課程將介紹氣象與經濟的關係，包括公共氣象服務、商業氣象服務、媒體與氣象；氣象產品與衍生性產品、面對氣候變遷下的氣象服務新型態（包括氣候變遷下的經濟風險調適等）。為使參與課程的同學能有較貼近實際感受氣象與經濟的關連性，課程中以介紹、討論、案例、報告交替進行。

Societal benefits from meteorological services result from the use of the information provided to improve the outcomes of weather- and climate-sensitive human decisions. In this courses intend to provides some general background on the categorisation of meteorological and related services, the role of meteorological information in weather and climate dependent decision-making, and the total and

marginal economic benefits derived from the use of the services. The final section provides a summary and some conclusions.
