內容

課程概述

生物科技與倫理為一學期課程，課程內容為各種生物科技所面臨的倫理問題與解決方案，包含農業生物技術中常見的基因改良作物對食品安全的疑慮及環境的衝擊、實驗動物倫理與動物福利的作為、生物製藥的安全考量與風險與人體試驗的倫理考量、保健生技研發的利益與弊病的倫理考量、醫學生物技術的醫病關係、病人知的權利與安樂死等議題，藉由每次課程的不同議題，讓同學瞭解我們社會如何面對與處理對於生物科技所帶來的倫理衝擊。

Biotechnological Ethics is a one semester course, which will cover all possible ethic problems and solutions for new bio-techniques. The common following issues will be involved, Food safety and environment impacts risen from GM crops, experimental animal ethics and animal welfare in agricultural biotechnology; safety consideration and human body experiments in biopharmaceuticals; pros and cons based on the ethic consideration for the developing nutraceuticals; doctor-patient relationship and knowing right in medical ethics; the legitimacy of euthanasia issues. Each class will discuss an ethic theme in each biotechnological fields and students will understand more about how our society face and deal with these problems brought and hammered by new biotechnology.

授課內容

授課內容為每週一個重要主題，以自編講義及投影片介紹，課堂以講授與討論為主，也藉由討論的方式引導學生能自行思考未來生物科技的議題如器官移植、組織工程及老齡化照顧等的倫理問題。並配合期中評量及期末報告，以落實教學成效。
