課程概述

財務金融學是在社會科學中少數具有巨量資料的學科之一，一般計算機已不足以處理財務金融中日益複雜的資料運算與分析，因此，本課程之目的在於讓學生懂得利用現代數位化工具進行資料取得、運算與分析，有效率地面對與處理充滿不確定性的未來。本課程屬中階課程，學生必須具備excel等試算表基本操作能力以及掌握財金基本觀念與理論。課程內容包括：貨幣的時間價值、房貸與退休金、風險與報酬、統計分析、樞鈕分析表、規劃求解，及衍生性金融商品定價與模擬等。

Finance is one of the few subjects with big data for analysis in social science. Since the regular calculator is incapable to deal with the data processing and analysis in finance, this course is designed to introduce students with financial data acquisition, processing, calculation and analysis with modern digital devices, efficiently facing the uncertain future. The course is an intermediate course which pivots on financial data analysis using spreadsheet. The topics include: time value of money, mortgage and pension, risk and returns, statistical analysis, Pivot Tables, Solver, and financial derivatives pricing, and simulation.

The scope of this course includes the following subjects: Time value of money, housing loan and pension, risk and return, statistical analysis, pivot analysis table, programming solution, and derivative financial commodity pricing and simulation, etc.
