課程概述

生態觀光乃是在保存觀光資源為前提下，來進行觀光遊憩活動之一種旅遊形式。如何兼顧景觀之保存與自然生態之保育，將是生態旅遊所追尋之主要目標。

授課內容

傳統旅遊因以純商業操作手腕經營旅遊，常對珍貴之觀光資源產生大規模之破壞，因此如何妥善的利用這些資源，並使其能永續保存下來，實為當前生態觀光產業之重要議題。生態觀光即是在保存觀光資源為前提下，來進行觀光遊憩活動之一種旅遊形式。這些觀光資源包含人文與自然生態資源兩部分，如何兼顧景觀之保存與自然生態之保育，將是生態旅遊所追尋之主要目標。本課程乃對生態觀光之意義與精神作一介紹，並介紹其分類、發展歷史、趨勢與所遭遇之問題，並對其操作基本技巧逐一介紹，使同學得以對生態觀光在休閒產業的重要性有一整體之了解。

Under merely commercial considerations, traditional tourism frequently causes large-scale damages to recreational resources.  It becomes a critical issue for tourism industry to wisely use these resources and preserves them persistently.  Ecotourism is the better way to undertake tourism with a guarantee to preserve these recreational resources properly.  Two types of recreational resources are included: cultural and natural resources.  Ecotourism is aiming to preserve these two types of resources at the same time.  This course will start with introducing the definition of ecotourism, and following its categories, history, trends and encountered issues of ecotourism.  The basic skills for designing an ecotourism project will also be provided in this course, therefore, students will have an overview of ecotourism..
