內容

課程概述

民主政治強調人民治理，而治理行為的表現，主要是在公民的參與，尤其是在選舉活動中的參與及投票。因此，本課程的進行，採取理論與實務並重的方式，有政治參與及民主理論之介紹，有選舉制度與活動的說明，還有公民參與政治的管道與行為之分析。

With a strong commitment to democracy and participation, every nation would expect citizens to show great interest in politics and voting because democracy was defined as a political system that provides opportunities for changing public officials and that allows the people to influence decision making through voting.

Categories of political action are established, a basic research questions is how many people participate in each category. In studying participation, argues that those people who are active in the most demanding forms of political action such as interest groups and political parties operating the protest and partisan political work. Some empirical data compare levels of participation across many countries ,specially voting in national elections.

授課內容

有二個主軸，一是公民參與，一是選舉，兩者所佔的比重，前70%後30%。公民參與部分，有理論、參與管道及行為二個次議題，理論議題有民主政治理論及公民政治參與論；參與管道及行為議題，有利益團體、政黨、大眾傳播及選舉等。選舉部分，有選舉制度、選舉活動及公民投票行為等次議題。
